The Brief
Create a promotional advertising poster for a musician, but incorporate an aspect of nature within the
print design.
Idea
Harry Styles is one of my favourite artists, and he uses a lot of nature within his songs for example “Golden, Watermelon Sugar, Daylight, Sunflower Vol 6” this gave me a lot of opportunities to make nature work seamlessly into a print for his latest album “Harry’s House” and tour “Love on Tour”.
Execution
Using a stippling effect to capture Harry Styles performing to represent him on tour of what people are going to see. The aspect of nature I chose to use was the sun in the background because I didn’t want to overcomplicate the design and keep the Harry as the main focal point. I decided on a limited colour palette because this makes it easier to interchange colours when printmaking, you can easily swap the orange out of the white background with different inks and paper. I have shown three different alternatives using the colours of his “Love on Tour” tour.
